Kindness isn't extravagant, it's understated. Among all the superlatives we can use to describe God, we often overlook Kind.Kindness is listening to Abraham as he pleads against the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah. Kindness is not laughing at him as he asks to save a people damned by their own actions. Kindness is saving his nephew's family despite their sin and ingratitude.
Kindness is granting a child to the barren woman willing to give that child back to God.
Kindness is reaching out a hand to save a sinking brother whose faith has wavered in the storm.
Kindness is making a home for us; making it beautiful and rich. Kindness is making the people we care about and the people who care about us our family. And being the Father to the fatherless. Kindness is caring for the "least of these."
